Surrounded by the 3000 meter high Tateyama mountain range on the south and the Sea of Japan and Toyama Bay at its north, Toyama, the home of the University of Toyama, is a nature-rich provincial city that offers a comfortable life. Located near the geographic heart of Japan, Toyama Prefecture has four distinct seasons. You may find it inexplicable when you see the snow-covered city in winter.
