We will go through the procedures for moving in. If you haven't decided where to live in yet, you can look for it after arriving in Toyama.

Shopping Support 12:00 ~

We help you shop for the necessities.We will take you to a nearby store. We will also introduce how to buy online. We can also take you to shopping mall by taking a bus or a train.

Procedures at department’s office 14:00 ~

We will support the procedures at the department's office. We will submit and receive the documents. If you don't have a student ID, you can receive it here.

Procedures at the Study Abroad Support Department 14:30 ~

We will guide you to the study abroad support department and help you submit and receive documents.If you wish, you can also consult here about choosing a Japanese language course.

Greetings to teachers in charge 15:00 ~

We are going to say hello to the teacher in charge of your department. We will take you to the teacher's office.

Explanation of university information and facilities use 10:00 ~

We will introduce facilities in the university, such as cafeteria and cooperatives. In addition, we will explain how to use the on-campus IC card and how to use the facilities. We will also guide you to the health management center.

Co-op membership procedures 11:00 ~

Toyama University has a University Co-op.By joining the cooperative, you can issue an on-campus IC card that can be used in cafeteria and cafes. Foreign students can join for 3,000 yen.It will take about a week or two to receive it.

Internet Environment Support 11:30 ~

We will help your devices to connect to campus network environments. You can use your mobile phone that you already have. We can also prepare Wi-Fi at your apartment.

Resident registration, National Health Insurance, National Pension at City Hall 13:00 ~

We support the necessary procedures for living in Japan. We will take bus or tram to the city hall.

Opening a bank account 10:00 ~

We will help you open a bank account. A bank account is required to receive scholarships and remittances. We will go to the bank on foot from the university.

Credit card creation 11:00 ~

We recommend issuing a credit card from the cooperative for foreign students. It can be also issued at Japan Post Bank and Hokuriku Bank. We will help you with the procedures according to your preference. What you need is a residence card, passport, and a stamp. If you do not have a stamp, we will take you to a store to make it.
